ChemkinPro19 Theory Manual

So recently I am using Chemkin. When I was reading "Theory" Manual from Chemkin Pro 19.0, I found an inconsistent equation with the reference book. The attached picture shows the linear dependence of the nondimensional number xi on the reduced dipole moment. However, in the book it cites, "Molecular Theory of Gases and Liquids" by J.O. Hirschfelder, et al. P223, Eqn (3.10-17) shows a square dependence of xi on mu*, i.e. missing square on the mu* term. Please help me check! Thank you.
